The DX-8 is designed for simple, quiet and reliable operation, yet it will thoroughly damage any hard drive. A hard drive can be crushed with in seconds in a waffle-like pattern which breaks and shatters media platters inside the drive. The mangled remnants drop into your waste bin for easy recycling and disposal. It is fast, easy, quiet, safe, and clean.
The DB-6000 destruction device is easy to operate. Open the door, insert the hard disk drive (HDD), and rotate the ambidextrous handle to begin the crushing process. The indestructible ram descends with a force exceeding 60,000 psi which bends, folds and crushes the platters and circuitry of the hard drive, rendering it unusable. For greater performance and speed, convert to drill-powered mode. Simply remove and stow the handle, attach the supplied bit adapter and cordless drill to power the unit. (Drill not included.) NSA approved, the DB-6000 is a durable and safe alternative to hard drive shredding.

The LM-1 degaussing machine uses a conveyor belt system that provides rapid, continuous erasure with a throughput of up to 1,300 tapes or hard disk drives per hour. Simply turn it on and place the media on the moving belt. The tape or hard disk drive (HDD) is pulled inside the degausser where it passes a shielded permanent magnet that completely sanitizes the media and drops it into your bin for recycling or disposal.

The DX-8 is listed in the National Security Agency (NSA)/CSS Evaluated Products List for for Hard Drive Destruction. As such, it meets DoD compliance guidelines for the physical damage of hard disk drive media as well as emergency destruction procedures. The DX-8 is not recommended for tape media.
