Special ten port low delay sub rate unit (LD-SRU) with RJ-48 modular connectors. Connects to the A, B, C and D buses. Supports synchronous and/or asynchronous data ports from 300 bps to 38.4Kbs. Supports DS0-A, DS0-B and V.14 division 32 subrate multiplexing formats by hardware instead software as in the 822060 SRU. The SRU offers lower delay, increasing throughput: Maximum of 6 ms +/- 10% end to end of rates 9.6 kbps or higher for sync. SRU card ports can also be multiplexed with voice traffic on an 8000-ADPCM card (up to 19.2 Kbps data circuit in 24 Kbps data circuit in 24 Kbps ADPCM channel).
