Zhone-IMAC

Provides 8 high-speed PPP DS1 link interfaces. Ethernet ports are individually subnet addressable. Must be ordered along with the PRM-8000-ROUTER-PPP-HS hardware.

Provides CESoPSTN mapping of up to eight T1/E1 facilities into Pseudo-wire technology. Must be ordered along with the 8000-PWE hardware.

Two wire interface, supporting signaling modes Foreign Exchange Station (connects to 2-way PBX trunk or key system), Foreign Exchange Software Defined Network (emulates E&M connection to class 4 switches). PLAR (point-to-point unswitched), DPO (1-way trunks from PBX, key system or telephone) and SLC96 (Subscriber Loop Carrier 96). Type settings include variety of loop start and ground start options. Use with 600-Ohm termination facilities. Includes lower power setting for short loops. May be used with 8000-ADPCM compression card.

Four port high speed unit (HSU) for 56K, 64K and Nx56/64K data applications. The selection of RS530 or V.35 is made on a port-by-port basis using on-board switches. Can also support RS232 data at 56Kbps through the use of the 1253 personality module. Has four DB26F connectors. Has improved clock jitter performance over the 821560. Firmware is flash based.

Four port high speed unit (HSU) for 56K, 64K and Nx56/64K data applications. The selection of RS530 or V.35 is made on a port-by-port basis using on-board switches. Can also support RS232 data at 56Kbps through the use of the 1253 personality module and 1240 cable adapter. Has four DB26F connectors. Supports tail circuits greater than 24 timeslots, V.35 interface compatible with international standards, and individually selectable transmit/receive clock inversion options. Firmware is flash based. Requires v3.8 or higher or v5.1 or higher CPU firmware. CE marked.

Ten port sub rate unit with RJ-48 modular connectors. Supports synchronous and/or asynchronous data ports from 300 bps to 38.4Kbps. Supports DS0-A, DS0-B, V.14 and X.50 division 3 subrate multiplexing formats. Connects to A and B buses only, limiting its operation to 62 ports. See Data Section in manual for aggregate input speed restrictions. SRU card ports can also be multiplexed with voice traffic on an ADPCM card (up to 19.2 Kbps data circuit in 24 Kbps ADPCM channel). Uses V2.9 card FW. Limited Availability. Will be replaced by the 822570.

Firmware performs analog bridging on a maximum of 240 DS0s. Requires 8000-BRIDGE Server card (must be ordered separately). Bridge operates at 0dB, supports E&M data (SCADA) conferencing.

Special ten port low delay sub rate unit (LD-SRU) with RJ-48 modular connectors. Connects to the A, B, C and D buses. Supports synchronous and/or asynchronous data ports from 300 bps to 38.4Kbs. Supports DS0-A, DS0-B, V.14 and X.50 division 32 subrate multiplexing formats by hardware instead software as in the 822060 SRU. The configuration is controlled via local terminal or remote NMS. The SRU offers lower delay, increasing throughput: Maximum of 3 ms +/- 10% end to end of rates 9.6 kbps or higher for sync. Maximum of 6 ms +/- 10% end to end of rates 9.6 kbps or higher for sync. SRU card ports can also be multiplexed with voice traffic on an ADPCM card (up to 19.2 Kbps data circuit in 24 Kbps data circuit in 24 Kbps ADPCM channel). Supports CSU, DSU and CPU loopbacks. Two port high speed unit (HSU) for 64Kbps data applications with IEEE C37.94 optical interface. Uses fiber optic connectors (BFOC/2.5) and can operate at a distance of up to 2 km (1.24 miles). The data rate on the optical media is 2.048MHz, and framed as an E1 without signaling. Due to the data structure defined by C37.94, each port contains a maximum of 12 time slots of data. Requires Host Code 5.3.7 or higher. Operates per C.37.94 spec at 830nm on multi-mode fiber.
